A Classic Engagement Session in Some of Boston’s Most Iconic Places
B and M, visiting from Ohio, seized the opportunity to explore the charm of Boston with us! We ventured to three of Boston's most iconic spots, each perfect for engagement photos, and each with its own unique history and charm.
First, we visited the Boston Public Library, a treasure trove of history and architecture. Founded in 1848, it was the first large free municipal library in the United States. If you stay outside long enough, you’ll hear the duckboat drivers joking that all the names engraved outside are the people who still haven’t turned in their library books.
Next, we wandered down Acorn Street, one of Boston's most photographed streets. Nestled in the historic Beacon Hill neighborhood, Acorn Street is known for its charming cobblestones, gas lamps, and historic brick row houses dating back to the 19th century.
Finally, we headed to the Boston Public Gardens. It was the first public botanical garden in America, and the gardens are famous for their vibrant floral displays, picturesque lagoon, and iconic swan boats. This past spring, they did a ton of construction, so it is wonderful to finally be able to photograph there this summer without the pond being drained!
As the sun set, we had the most incredible golden light that illuminated the sky. The soft, warm glow of the setting sun added a magical touch to the photos, making them look like scenes straight out of a movie. B and M were the absolute sweetest. Their genuine connection and infectious laughter made our time together so much fun, and it shows in their photos!
