01. How far in advance do we need to book you?

We highly advise reaching out as soon as possible to secure your wedding date. Reserving your date sooner rather than later is essential as it guarantees that we can commit our undivided focus and creativity to craft a truly memorable and personalized experience for your special day. Most couples book at least a year in advance but there’s no harm in reaching out last minute if needed, so come say hey!

02. can we ask you to tentatively hold a date?

We operate on a first-come, first-served basis for all dates. To secure your desired date, we require both a signed contract and a retainer to be submitted. Only upon receiving these will we be able to officially reserve and confirm your special day in our calendar.

03. do you have experience shooting in different lighting scenarios?

With experience using lighting equipment ranging from small, unobtrusive on-camera flashes to big Hollywood-studio movie lights, and everything in between, we are constantly analyzing your location to make the best lighting decisions. Our goal is to create the most striking yet natural visuals without taking away from you and your guests’ experience in anyway. Regardless of the venue or time of day, we'll make sure your photos turn out beautifully in any setting.

05. do you bring backup equipment?

We prioritize the safety of your precious memories by shooting to two SD cards simultaneously, ensuring all your photos are securely backed up before we wrap up any session. Additionally, we come fully prepared with extra cameras, lenses, and other gear, so you can have peace of mind knowing that we are equipped to handle any unexpected situations and capture your special moments.

06. Do you charge travel fees?

We do not charge any travel fees within a 3-hour radius of Boston. For more information on destination pricing please contact us.

07. We’re eloping, or having a small / city hall wedding and only need a photographer for a couple of hours. Is this something you offer?

No celebration is too small – whether it's a cozy backyard gathering or a grand affair with hundreds of loved ones, each moment is worth cherishing and capturing. We will be happy to provide you with a custom quote tailored to your unique celebration.

08. Will our photos be in color, black and white, or a mix?

Your gallery is likely to include approximately 20% to 30% black and white images, though the exact proportion can vary depending on the specific wedding. Certain moments or segments of the day may naturally lend themselves more favorably to black-and-white conversion or if we are shooting on colored or black-and-white film. Please let us know your preference for this aspect and we can easily make adjustments.

09. How long will it take to receive the final edited photos, and in what format will they be delivered?

We provide a sneak peek of your wedding day within a week of your celebration.

As for your complete gallery, we strive to deliver it within 4-6 weeks, or even sooner!

11. Do you provide retouching, color adjustment, or other corrective services?

Each photo you receive undergoes a meticulous editing process to match the high standard showcased on our website. This includes fine-tuning luminance tones, refining and grading colors, cropping/straightening images, and applying black and white conversion when suitable. Our film scans are done by the finest labs in the country, working with our custom color profiles. We also have the full capability to scan and manually convert film negatives in when a particular look is needed.

We provide subtle skin softening and basic retouching for you and your partner to better represent your natural beauty, but we respect and preserve your individuality by not editing out moles, freckles, scars, or other permanent facial markings. If you desire the removal of such elements, please inform us before the editing process.

12. How many photos should we expect?

As each wedding is unique, various factors like the size of your wedding party, number of guests, portrait session duration, multiple locations, and travel time contribute to the final count of your photos.

On average, we typically deliver around 800 photos, as we find that we produce approximately 100 photos per hour of coverage. However, please keep in mind that the actual number may vary depending on the specific elements and timeline of your day.

13. Will you be posting images of our wedding on your website, Instagram, etc?

Yes. We may feature some of your images on our website or social media. If this poses any concerns for you, please inform us at the time of booking, and we will happily respect your preference.

14. What are the next steps if we would like to book you?
