Terracotta Toned Fall Wedding at Gibbet Hill’s Bancroft Castle Ruins
When Sarah and Chris started imagining their wedding, they didn’t have to look far for the perfect wedding venue. They chose a place close to their hearts—Gibbet Hill—a favorite hiking and date spot, where they hike with their dog (and the local wandering cows) practically every weekend. They first met at the end of college, introduced by mutual best friends. From then on, they became inseparable, growing a deep friendship that blossomed into love.
Their wedding day was a harmonious blend of elegance and heartfelt detail. They began the day at a nearby hotel before Chris arrived in style, driven by family in a luxury car. Their first look took place at the stunning Bancroft Castle ruins, where whimsical, cascading florals transformed the stonework into a scene out of a fairytale.
Thoughtful touches were woven throughout the celebration. Guests were greeted with warm mugs of hot cider, a cozy welcome on the crisp autumn day, and the ceremony itself took place in the castle ruins just as the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the moment they exchanged vows.
With a cozy fall palette of peach and terracotta, the décor balanced rustic charm with refined sophistication. The castle’s rugged architecture and the historic barn beams of their reception were softened by lush, vibrant blooms and cozy accents, creating a luxe yet effortless vibe.
As guests gathered for a farm-to-table feast, tablescapes featured seasonal fruits, lush florals, and mood-setting candles.
Our hearts were so happy after photographing this day and working with the incredible vendor team that was brought together by Celebrations by Catalina!
