An Intimate Boston City Elopement
This summer, I had the privilege of capturing one of the sweetest, most intimate elopements I’ve ever witnessed. Bowen and Michael exchanged vows in the Arnold Arboretum on a misty, rainy day.
The ceremony was simple yet deeply personal. Underneath the sprawling branches of a misty tree, the couple stood hand in hand with their two beloved dogs at their side. As the rain softly fell, there was a sense of peacefulness making the moment feel like it belonged to just them—and nature.
After the vows, we wandered through the lush green park, stopping along the way for portraits that captured the beauty of the mist and the quiet joy they shared. Bowen had arranged his own florals, handpicking each vibrant bloom, which added a personal and heartfelt touch to their day.
Once we wrapped up in the park, we headed back to their home, where their parents were waiting to celebrate. The warmth and love between their family members made the small gathering feel incredibly special. Bowen and Michael cut their cake, a chantilly cake from Whole Foods, and toasted to their future with the closest people in their lives—a perfect ending to a day so full of love.
