In the heart of the enchanting Swiss mountain landscapes, Anna and Andrew’s love story unfolded. Their destination wedding was one of our favorite wedding experiences from 2022, rich with so many emotions and lots of fondue cheese.

The festivities began with a memorable rehearsal dinner and welcome party at the historic Abbaye de Salaz, which was established by the monks of St. Maurice in 1000. In the middle of Swiss countryside, not too far from Geneva, the Abbaye provided the perfect ambiance for friends and family to come together in celebration. In her summers as a teen, Anna had picked grapes for the vineyard, so the location had so much sentimental value.

As the sun rose on the big day, Anna and Andrew's decision to get ready together set the tone for the intimate and personal nature of their celebration. Surrounded by their friends and family, the couple shared quiet moments of reflection and excitement. This choice beautifully symbolized their journey towards a shared future, highlighting their deep connection and commitment to one another.

For the ceremony and reception, the stunning Chateau d’Aigle provided a majestic backdrop for both the wedding ceremony and reception. Perched majestically amidst the Swiss alps, the Chateau has endured since the 12th century, bearing witness to the stories of generations past. Its historic significance is rooted in its role as a medieval stronghold, a strategic watchtower, and a noble residence throughout various epochs. The couple chose to get married in the castle’s courtyard, exchanging vows against the backdrop of the Swiss Alps. There wasn't a dry eye in sight.
